Madison Square Garden holds a Shark Tank competition for each class of Student Associates. In this competition, all the Student Associates, over 70, are separating into teams of 4-5 and are all given the same prompt in which we would need to respond with a solution and pitch it employees from a range of divisions within the company.
This year, our challenge was to respond to this prompt: "How can MSG bounce back after the pandemic?"
After brainstorming with my team, we decided to pitch a rewards program, The Garden Pass. Seeing that there was a lot of potential for this idea, we did research in terms of how much it would cost, how it could be implemented, and most importantly, how it would benefit MSG. In addition to a verbal presentation, we wanted to also create a visual aid to supplement the information we were covering. Given my skills and experience, I volunteered to create the video below.
After only two weeks, we presented this idea to MSG managers, directors, and executives.
Out of 15 teams, we came in 1st place.
